Jaakkola’s Reindeer Farm is a perfect destination for both FIT-customers and fixed groups. We’ve got nearly 30 years of experience in running our business in reindeer tourism, and we have lived alongside reindeer since we were children. We have a real reindeer farm, so during the visit people not only get to acquaint with our reindeer but also the everyday life of us as a reindeer farmers and not to mention the Sámi way of life.
During the snow-free period we arrange guided farm visits, kota meals, cooking course programmes, reindeer trekkings and tailor-made programmes for groups. In the winter we arrange different sorts of reindeer safaris of varying lengths, along with sleigh ride excursions and ice-fishing safaris by reindeer.We’re full of ideas and creativity as well – capable of easily planning the sort of program that offers history and folklore in just the right proportion, with entertainment thrown in. If something’s missing on our website, it doesn’t mean we can’t arrange it.
We collaborate directly with dozens of various tour operators alongside many incoming and local companies, and some of our customer relationships are as old as the enterprise we run. We also cooperate with local transport enterprises, so we can also include coach transportation in your program package in order to ease your work.
We have an ideal location to stop by for a lunch or short visit if the group is heading from Rovaniemi to North or other way around. Our farm is located only 10 minute´s drive from E75, in a half way of Rovaniemi and Saariselkä or Levi. Feel free to contact us to tell about your needs.
