Do you serve lunch at the farm?

We don’t have a walk-in restaurant at the reindeer farm, but our Goahti Kota Restaurant serves groups by reservation. We also offer a lunch safari every Monday and Friday – you’ll find the full program description and booking details in our online store.

Can our family of three ride in the same sleigh?

Usually, one sleigh is shared by two guests. We evaluate each situation on a case-by-case basis on site. Generally, we do not place strangers in the same sleigh, and small children must always ride with an adult.

Do your programs have a temperature limit?

Accepted Answer

If temperatures drop below -25°C, we reserve the right to cancel or modify our programs. In such cases, we will contact you to discuss rescheduling or cancellation. Short sleigh rides and farm visits can usually still be arranged in colder weather.

Can I drive my own reindeer?

For safety reasons, all sleighs are led by our trained guides. Guests do not drive the reindeer themselves.

Do you provide winter clothing for your tours?

Clothing is not included in our programs, but we do provide warm wool blankets for sleigh rides. Please remember to dress warmly to fully enjoy the experience without discomfort from the cold.

Can we visit the farm privately?

We offer a private reindeer experience including a 3 km sleigh ride for private groups of at least 4 paying guests. This provides a personal and exclusive visit with a guide, at a slightly higher rate. Please contact us for more details.

How can I reach the farm without a car?

Accepted Answer

There is no public transport to the reindeer farm, but we offer transfers for an additional fee. You can book transportation as an extra service online. If you’re staying further away – for example, in Pyhätunturi or Rovaniemi – the SkiBus is a great option to reach Luosto. We can then provide a transfer to the farm.

How early should I arrive before the program starts?

Please arrive at the farm 10 minutes before your program begins. We cannot wait for late arrivals, even if informed in advance. Please also avoid arriving too early.

How do I get to the reindeer farm by car?

Accepted Answer

Our reindeer farm is only a 15-minute drive from Luosto, located along a well-maintained road. There are clear signposts and it’s easy to find. Please plan your route and allow enough time for travel.
